Tutenkhamun version 1.
Tutenkhamun version 1.

A scarf I’ve been wanting to weave for a long time, with colours and patterns derived from a Tutenkhamun sarcophagus. All the shades of gold in the warp threads were dyed with vegetable dyes; onion skins both fresh and old, and dead Buddliea flowers. It’s 100% silk, all hand dyed by me, and measures 11” wide by 70” long, (28 x 178 cms) approx. plus 5” tasselled fringe at either end.
