The second scarf from a 5 end satin/sateen warp using silk from the stash of an old weaving friend who died last year. The colours are inspired by the wonderful colours of the tulips in a bulb catalogue. The yellow, orange and red of the warp were all achieved by overdyeing pale pink, pale biege and brilliant pink in an onion skin dyebath. The weft is my usual 30/2s silk all dyed in my workshop. The scarf measures approximately 11” x 70”.
