The fourth scarf from a 5 end satin/sateen warp using silk from the stash of an old weaving friend who died last year. The two sides of this one are similar except that the stripes are black on one side and coloured on the other. The yellow, orange and red of the warp were all achieved by overdyeing pale pink, pale biege and brilliant pink in an onion skin dyebath. The weft is my usual 30/2s silk all dyed in my workshop. The scarf measures approximately 11” x 70”.
